The NASCAR Cup series returned after the extended two weeks Olympics break with the Cook Out 400 at Richmond. The drivers are setting themselves for a tough challenge at the Oval with the option tier system changing the whole game. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin was the best on Saturday as he secured the pole in qualifying.
Kevin Harvick, the 2014 Cup champion, would be one of the many Denny Hamlin fans who loves to see the No:11 Toyota upfront as he has been rooting for the veteran to win the championship this season. But he was furious while seeing the broadcast, as the NBC didn’t broadcast the practice and qualifying on the cable.
Instead, it was broadcasted via NBC Sports App and Harvick had to do a lot of digging to find the stream. He was furious about the pre-race broadcast strategy and took it to X to share his disappointment. The ex-SHR driver admitted that people are not watching the sports because of such decisions making and its not the driver’s fault.
Two weeks off and it took me 20 minutes to find qualifying. Don’t blame the drivers when no one’s watching because it’s buried on an app.Kevin Harvick wrote on X.

Kevin Harvick set to host a golf tournament
Like many of the NASCAR drivers aside from racing, Golfing is their favourite hobby and Kevin Harvick is no different. This is why he, with help of the Kevin Harvick foundations has come up with a project to support young golfers.

He is set to support the American Junior Golf Association‘s (AJGA) national tour in Bakersfield. AJGA has played a significant role in the rise of many of the prominent golfers in the world including the likes of Tiger Woods and Bubba Watson.
With the new initiative, he would be hoping to help no-racing athletes alongside the racing athletes, making it a part of his legacy that is to be cherished. It would be interesting to see how much more he would indulge himself in this project.
