Subdued by abysmal booking, LA Knight‘s career was in the trenches shortly after getting called-up to the main roster. Once Triple H scrapped Max Dupri out of LA’s system, he showed signs of life. And within no time, Knight found his mojo. However, unlike the fans, Kevin Nash was highly reproving of The Megastar’s character, citing him as a mere rip-off of The Rock.

Guess what? Knight and Nash met backstage at this year’s SummerSlam. The WWE Hall of Famer made the revelation on his Kliq This podcast. One would imagine there may have been some fierce back-and-forth between them, considering the past. But there wasn’t any such ill-will. Kevin instead dove into how special that night was going to be for The Megastar.

Letting the sleeping dogs lie, the former NWO member obtained a first-hand perception of Logan Paul‘s finesse in the ring. Later on, Nash did affirm that he never intended to see Knight in the doldrums, in regards to how he initially viewed the former Eli Drake. Thankfully, they didn’t bicker, and both held their own in whatever time they talked backstage.

I said, 'So, you finally getting to f***ing go over tonight? And he goes, 'Something like that.' And then we talked and because he's working with Logan Paul, I just asked him how it was to work with Paul.

It’s not like that the 41-year-old hasn’t responded to Kevin Nash even once. Earlier this year, the reigning US Champion did castigate the WWE legend over his denouncing remarks. Knight was miffed and did get his pound of flesh during an interview with the Gorilla Position. However, now that they’ve talked it out in person, the fans would hope their differences fizzle out at some point.

Who’ll challenge LA Knight for the United States title?

This week on SmackDown, LA Knight had that extra mileage in his walk to the ring. With the lustrous United States Championship around his waist, it couldn’t have been any better for him. In addition to that, Knight also received a little revamp to his theme song.

Later in the show, there was a No. 1 contenders match to determine The Megastar’s first challenger. In that high-stakes battle, Santos Escobar stole the march over Andrade.

The Legado Del Fantasma chief will now hope to upset the fan-favorite. A date for their match has yet to be announced. However, it could be any of the upcoming one or two weeks. Or else, they might dupe it out at Bash in Berlin come August 31.
