A seemingly demented Kevin Owens is completely off the leash and he's coming for Sami Zayn after what transpired at the Royal Rumble.

Kevin Owens isn’t done dumping on someone he goes way back in time. Last Saturday, at the Royal Rumble, the Canuck was laid out cold by redemption-seeking Cody Rhodes in a brutal ladder match. The latter retained his Undisputed WWE title. Breaking silence for the first time since going down, Owens took to X.

He first revealed the battle scars he endured while taking it to Rhodes. Owens said he has a banged-up neck and spine that’s probably never going to heal completely, let alone the emotional trauma he went through. And Kevin firmly directed the blame for it on his once-best friend, Sami Zayn.

Why so? It’s because Sami did absolutely nothing but see Cody retrieve the championship belts hanging up high. Zayn appeared at ringside during the dying moments of the bout, and it felt for a second that he’d push Rhodes off the ladder. However, as everyone saw, the former Honorary Uce just let it happen.

What’s even worse, according to Owens, is how Zayn didn’t hesitate a bit while offering a helping hand to Roman Reigns in the men’s Royal Rumble match. That really pissed KO off. As a result, he labeled Sami as a horrible friend and, on top of that—a disgusting human being. The Prizefighter affirmed that he’ll never forgive his compatriot. A payback is coming Zayn’s way.

You are a horrible friend, you’re a disgusting human being and I’ll never forgive you. But I’m gonna make you pay.

In fact, the WWE Universe got a glimpse of how menacing Owens can be on Raw this past Monday. After Sami had lost to CM Punk in an Elimination Chamber qualifier, Kevin blindsided The Underdog from the Underground. And then, the Quebec-born Owens planted the erstwhile Bloodline member with a package piledriver. Sami had to be stretchered out of the arena.

Kevin Owens has signed a brand-new contract with WWE

On Friday morning, Kevin Owens posted about his wrestling future in a bizarre fashion. He promised to keep doing what he does for 4 years, 11 months, and 22 days if the fans helped his daughter’s Girl Scout troop buy some cookies.

The Canadian Dream subtly hinted that he’s re-signed with WWE about a week ago. This was later confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. The new deal is believed to have been in effect since the Royal Rumble.

That said, the 40-year-old will continue being a prime focus of WWE programming for the years to come. He’s already headlined WrestleMania twice and had the honor to wrestle Steve Austin. The last bit is something Owens would forever be grateful for.
