Kevin Owens is set to face Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event next Saturday. While the match has been made official, The Prizefighter’s fiery remarks show no signs of stopping. During the latest episode of SmackDown, Owens sat down for an interview with Michael Cole, where he unleashed a tirade, delivering a scathing verbal attack that brutally disrespected the WWE veteran.
The Canadian superstar accused the veteran of being a biased interviewer, labeling him as a longtime “fanboy” of Rhodes. Owens further claimed that WWE management is backing their “golden boy,” making it uncomfortable for him to step into a WWE arena. After Cole responded with critical remarks, Owens dismissed him, humorously mocking him before rolling up his car window as a final act of defiance.
The interview was conducted inside a car, a result of Owens’ growing paranoia about management. However, this was just the beginning of his antics on SmackDown. In the main event, he targeted Cody Rhodes following his hard-fought victory over Chad Gable. Seizing the moment, The Prizefighter viciously stomped on Rhodes’ already injured ankle, aiming to shatter The American Nightmare’s morale.
