“We never talk,” Former WWE Universal Champion makes shocking revelation about his relationship with CM Punk

CM Punk making his return to WWE was a historic event for the company, described by many as ‘hell freezing over.’ However, not many superstars were too pleased with this decision. This list includes Kevin Owens. Although the two superstars aren’t at direct odds, the Canadian has no fondness for the former AEW star either.

Speaking to Mail Sport, Owens revealed that he and Punk never talk to each other. He claimed that they simply had no reason to talk as they were not friends. The two superstars are also on different brands at the moment, meaning they only cross paths with each other at PLEs unless one of them makes a cross-brand appearance.

However, Owens was still open to working with the Second City Saint. He would be willing to talk with him if they worked together, but it is unlikely that it would happen otherwise. Furthermore, the Canadian has also taken several shots at the 46-year-old in the past. Owens has said that he rolled his eyes when people claimed to be the Best in the World, likely referring to Punk.

Furthermore, Owens was delighted when Randy Orton made his return at Survivor Series. However, he did not share the same excitement for Punk, who also came back at the same show. He simply said that if the Voice of the Voiceless wanted to have fun, he was fine with him being back in the company.

What happened between CM Punk and Kevin Owens in Ring of Honor?

CM Punk and Kevin Owens were both indie darlings before making their way to WWE. They were both part of Ring of Honor roughly at the same time, and both of them even held the promotion’s top title. There was a time in the promotion when the Prizefighter had only begun to find his footing. Meanwhile, the Straight Edge Superstar had already made a name for himself and was seen as a locker room leader.

According to Kevin Owens, Punk took several shots at the erstwhile Kevin Steen for being overweight in the ring. Furthermore, he also made fun of him for wearing a T-shirt while wrestling, something that the Canadian does to this day.

When they returned to the locker room, the former NXT Champion asked the Second City Saint if he was happy with what he did. According to Owens, he was trying to be playful, but Punk took offense. Furthermore, the former AEW star chastised him in front of the locker room. Since then, KO has described their relationship as being just fine.
