After the ban on mentioning Brock Lesnar‘s name was lifted, WWE has made more and more references to him lately. The latest example of this came during the highly intense promo segment between Paul Heyman and Kevin Owens. This small reference could excite wrestling fans who are clamoring to see The Beast Incarnate in the squared circle once again.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Paul Heyman and Kevin Owens engaged in a heated promo battle regarding Solo Sikoa‘s new Bloodline. The Wiseman constantly tried to warn the former Universal Champion not to mess with them. However, Owens instead blasted Heyman, saying he needed someone to keep him relevant and citing both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns as examples of that.

Speaking of Lesnar, a recent report suggested that he could return to the Stamford-based company under only one condition. That condition was revealed to be the necessary clearance of his name by WWE’s legal team. However, that hasn’t happened yet, meaning he won’t be returning anytime soon. The lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon implicated Lesnar’s name, leading to the promotion canceling creative plans for his return.

Meanwhile, Owens was later interrupted by Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa when he fired some shots at them. However, the 39-year-old star had some backup, as The Street Profits evened the numbers. The duo of Tama and Loa defeated Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins in Tonga Loa’s first match since his debut at Backlash in France.

Kevin Owens paid his respect to Roman Reigns and The Usos on SmackDown

Kevin Owens has been in a rivalry with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline for years. The dominant faction made his life difficult every day during their heated rivalry. However, in a surprising turn of events, The Prizefighter showed some respect to The Tribal Chief and The Usos during his promo with Heyman.

On SmackDown, the Hall of Famer tried to explain to Owens how dangerous the new Bloodline was. He stated that, although Reigns had some respect for him, Solo didn’t care about anything. In response to that, the former Universal Champion said that although Reigns and The Usos put him through a lot of misery, there was always a certain amount of respect between them.

Well, guess what? I've fought The Bloodline for four years. They threw me off things, handcuffed me to those ropes, Superkicked me 20 times... they hit me with a golf cart, and I am still standing right here and I had a great time. But that, was Roman Reigns, Jey, and Jimmy Uso, guys that I too respect.

Owens had many title bouts with the record-breaking champion but unfortunately fell short every time. However, he and Sami Zayn pulled off one of the greatest victories in history at WrestleMania 39 against The Usos.
