Andrew Tate returned to combat sports with Misfits Boxing, challenging promotional heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor after years away from action. The former kickboxing champion struggled badly, getting dominated throughout the bout. He also failed to land any significant offense, and eventually lost convincingly on points.

Tate’s performance sparked widespread online trolling, with fans and fighters, including UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, mocking his return. Ahead of the fight, Tate engaged in heavy trash talk, confidently promising a knockout victory over Chase DeMoor inside the ring.

However, once the fight began, Tate looked exhausted by the second round and struggled badly to perform effectively. A viral image showing Tate knocked down and on his knees spread online rapidly, drawing intense trolling across social media platforms.

One user posted the picture and labelled Tate for ‘Performative Masculinity’ and ‘misogynistic tough-guy persona’, who got reality checked. The post got more attention after former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov liked it, effectively supporting the message.

The Dagestani legend has spent his life training and is known for being humble, and it seems like he doesn’t like influencers getting into combat sports. In a recent interview, the retired fighter admitted he disliked how promotions prioritize flashy lifestyles and online personas over pure fighting ability.

The post also highlighted YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul getting knocked out by former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua recently. Both Tate and Paul built their careers heavily banking on social media fame, controversy, and larger-than-life internet personalities.

However, following their latest high-profile losses, online trolling intensified significantly, exposing the harsh reality behind fame-driven combat sports careers. Andrew Tate built much of his career through controversial comments, viral statements, and constant self-promotion beyond actual competitive achievements.

‘Top G’ consistently talked about dominance, winning mentality, and invincibility, setting extremely high expectations among fans and critics alike. However, Tate ultimately lost inside the ring and offered excuses, further fueling criticism and online mockery. However, both he and Paul were pleased as they made a huge fight purse of $20 million and $92 million, respectively.

Khabib built world-class gyms, structured training systems, and took complete responsibility for fighters’ careers, discipline, and personal development. Under his guidance, Islam Makhachev became a dominant UFC champion, reflecting Abdulmanap’s philosophy carried forward through Khabib’s vision.

Umar and Usman Nurmagomedov also thrived, showcasing elite grappling, composure, and discipline shaped directly by Khabib’s leadership approach. Recently, ‘The Eagle’ explained how responsibility and honoring his father’s legacy naturally pushed him into becoming his team’s guiding force.

Somehow when I finished my career, I became the oldest in my team. I have to take leadership. Who’s gonna take over? You cannot just leave them alone. I have to keep continuing my father’s legacy.
