Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently focused on preparing Islam Makhachev for his much-anticipated welterweight title fight at UFC 322 this weekend. The Dagestani star will face Australian striker Jack Della Maddalena inside Madison Square Garden. Ahead of the showdown, Team Khabib received an unexpected visit from streamer Adin Ross at their training facility.

Ross is one of the biggest streamers globally and has a close friendship with UFC CEO Dana White and fighters. This time, Ross was invited by Islam Makhachev’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, for a playful sparring session at the Dagestani camp. However, when Nurmagomedov saw Ross at training, he couldn’t recognize him, leading to an awkward yet funny encounter.

Who are you brother? What are you doing here? (invited) By who? Ali is not the boss here. Why are here with us?

Adin Ross streamed and filmed the intense Dagestani training session live, giving fans a raw look into Makhachev’s rigorous preparation. The environment was demanding, reflecting the real Dagestani spirit built on discipline, toughness, and unwavering physical endurance. Khabib Nurmagomedov personally led the session, pushing Adin through brutal wrestling drills that tested his stamina and strength.

Despite struggling, Adin Ross showcased some wrestling transitions and defensive maneuvers he had learned during his earlier MMA training sessions. Abdelaziz also participated, engaging in playful yet challenging wrestling exchanges where Ross was repeatedly taken down and overwhelmed by superior grappling.

The streamer openly admitted during breaks how exhausting wrestling truly felt and how different it was from basic gym workouts. Later, Ross conducted a live interview with Islam Makhachev, diving deep into training intensity, weight gain, and overall fight camp strategy.

Makhachev revealed the mental difficulty of maintaining discipline while preparing for Jack Della Maddalena’s striking power and relentless offensive pressure. Many of the clips from the stream went viral, showing the reach of someone like Adin Ross. The stream also featured former UFC champion Daniel Cormier, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s longtime friend, who joined the session for light training drills.

Popular MMA reporter Ariel Helwani later criticized Abdelaziz for stealing attention during the stream instead of highlighting his fighters. Helwani argued that the manager should have used Ross’s massive audience to promote Islam Makhachev and his team’s training intensity.

This Saturday, Makhachev aims to achieve something even Nurmagomedov never attempted, moving up in weight to claim a second championship belt. Nurmagomedov has admitted that this bout against Jack Della Maddalena represents their team’s greatest challenge and most emotionally significant fight ever.

The biggest fight in the history of our team is coming. Islam is gonna fight for the second belt. This is what we call Father’s Plan. I think I’m doing good, I’m not doing bad. Everybody’s winning, everybody’s on top. It will be a beautiful thing when Islam wins the welterweight title in MSG. I can’t wait for this legacy fight.

The stakes are higher than ever, as a victory here could permanently cement Islam Makhachev’s legacy among UFC’s all-time greats. The Dagestani enters the fight as the clear betting favorite, carrying unmatched momentum and confidence from his incredible winning streak.

However, Della Maddalena remains unfazed, believing his precise striking and movement can expose weaknesses in Makhachev’s grappling-heavy fighting approach. JDM boldly predicted a highlight-reel knockout victory in front of a roaring Madison Square Garden crowd, eager to shock the world.
