“Khabib boasts a padded record,” says Tony Ferguson
Tony Ferguson is not the silent one when it comes to talking, this time he has taken his shot at the former UFC lightweight champion and his old rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. Khabib is considered to be one of the best MMA athletes of all time and he holds an impeccable record of 29-0 but Khabib believes otherwise.
He believes Khabib’s record is padded and he gave the following reason for the same, “Ahhh Khabieber’s (Khabib’s) record… facts: more than half of fatheads professional fights were only two round sanctioned bouts. All before UFC. To be professional fights in most leagues, there must be three sanctioned rounds to be considered professional”
“El Cucuy” has been booked to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov for five different occasions and the fight was canceled every single time, no other fight in the history of MMA has been more cursed, and even after Khabib’s retirement Tony is still optimistic about this fight.
Can Ferguson still make his title run?
Tony Ferguson was on a 12 fight win streak before losing to Justin Gaethje and now he lost his second consecutive fight against Charles Oliveira. Even after being dominated in his last two fights, we can never rule Tony out of the title picture.
We can never forget the wars Tony has been in throughout his career and considering his skill set he can turn around the picture anytime he wants, he just needs to find his grove and get back at it. We are more than excited for his return inside the octagon
