Kidambi Srikanth seeded sixth in Denmark Open Super Series 2020

Japanese shuttlers Akane Yamaguchi and Kento Momota have been made the top seeds for the Denmark Open Super 750 series in the Women’s and Men’s Categories respectively. The Denmark Open 2020 will be played in Odense, Denmark from 11th to 19th October.
Ace shuttler Kidambi Srikanth is the sixth seed for the tournament. The tournament will mark the return of badminton after six months due to the pandemic.
The tournament will feature Spain’s Carolina Marin, Japan’s Naomi Okuhara, and India’s Saina Nehwal among others in the women’s section. No Indian women player is seeded in the Denmark Open after PV Sindhu decided to withdraw from the tournament. However, Olympic Bronze medalist Saina Nehwal will participate in the tournament but will be unseeded.
The men’s section will have Kento Momota as the top seed in the tournament. Momota is making a comeback in badminton after suffering from an accident. Victor Axelson will miss the tournament due to injury concerns.
Apart from Srikanth, Parupalli Kashyap, Laskhya Sen, Shubhankar Dey, and Ajay Jayaram will represent India in the men’s category.
The women’s pair of Ashwani Ponappa and N Sikki Reddy will compete in the Women’s Doubles, while the duo of Attri Manu and Sumeeth B Reddy will fight in the men’s doubles.
