IPL 2021: “Laughable at best” – Kieron Pollard posts a cryptic message to his critics
Kieron Pollard
Mumbai Indians’ (MI) all-rounder Kieron Pollard came up with a cryptic tweet as a response to his critics and haters. MI haven’t got off to the best of starts in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) as they have won just two matches out of their first five. One of the biggest reasons for the same has been the middle-order’s poor displays which have resulted in a string of below-par totals.
In yesterday’s match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), MI were unable to get going after being put in to bat. Apart from Rohit Sharma‘s splendid half-century, the other batters could not shine. Pollard couldn’t provide the vintage finishes as well. The chase was then aced in no time by PBKS who rode on a half-century from KL Rahul and some clean striking by Chris Gayle.
Kieron Pollard tweets a cryptic message; fans think it is related to ‘mankading’
Kieron Pollard took to Twitter to post a quote, “Just because I don’t read, doesn’t mean I didn’t notice.” He captioned the post, “Got to love these individuals who suppose to be objective… laughable at best !!! (sic).” This tweet has now caught the attention of IPL fans.
Fans have begun to guess that Pollard was referring to the criticism he received yesterday for backing up too much while at the non-strikers’ end. This was especially criticized because Pollard himself had warned Shikhar Dhawan for backing up too much in just the previous match. He was hence, called a ‘hypocrite’ by fans. This could be a response to the same.
MI’s next match is against Rajasthan Royals on the 29th of April.
