In a recent post-game interview, Klay Thompson reflected on his return to the Warriors, where he spent many successful years. 

When asked if it felt normal this time around without the fanfare of his previous return, Klay Thompson expressed his gratitude for the time he had with the Warriors. He fondly recalled winning championships with the team as doing “legendary stuff.” However, Thompson also emphasized that it’s now time for him to move on and create new legendary moments with the Dallas Mavericks.

Despite now playing for the Dallas Mavericks, Thompson’s legacy with the Warriors remains strong, and his returns to the Chase Center are always highly anticipated. Thompson certainly made a statement on the court, scoring 29 points and hitting seven 3-pointers in the Mavericks’ 143-133 victory over the Warriors on Sunday. The team set a season-high record with 21 three-pointers.

In contrast to his emotional first return last month, Thompson noted that this second visit felt more subdued and familiar. His previous game against the Warriors had seen him score 22 points, including six three-pointers, in a narrow 120-117 loss.
