Thompson has been enjoying his offseason with new Mavs teammate Grimes on a luxurious yacht in California. Thompson, also known as “Captain Klay,” startled everyone by diving off the top deck of his yacht into the ocean, while Grimes recorded the jump on his phone.
This video quickly caught the attention of the NBA community, especially the Mavs fans, ahead of the new NBA season. One fan was particularly happy with the new teammates bonding before the season. The fan wrote, “THE CHEMISTRY IS THROUGH THE F***ING ROOF” after watching the viral video.

As part of their commitment to commemorating Thompson for his four NBA titles and five All-Star appearances as half of the “Splash Brothers” with Stephen Curry, the Warriors have opted to retire Thompson’s No. 11 jersey.
