Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians My Team 11 Team Prediction IPL 2021: Top My Team 11 picks for KKR vs MI
Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders My Team 11 Team Prediction MI vs KKR
The 5th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 will see two-time IPL winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) locking horns with defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI). MI will be keen on returning to winning ways after losing their opening game yet again. The two sides will face each other on April 13 (Tuesday) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
All the games of IPL 2021 will be broadcast live on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1 HD, Star Sports 3 and Star Sports 3 HD TV channels in India. Moreover, it will be live-streamed on the Disney+Hotstar and Jio TV App.
Let’s look at our fantasy 11 predictions for this clash and here are top picks for KKR vs MI.
Team Preview – Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians continued with their streak of losing the inaugural match for the eighth season this edition as well. Rohit Sharma’s men conceded a nail-biting defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore during the opening match of IPL 2021. The lower order of the defending champions failed to get going which saw them restricted to just 160.
Quinton de Kock is unlikely to come back for the game owing to the mandatory quarantine period. MI will be looking to get their lower order back into the groove early on in the league. We might see Piyush Chawla replace Rahul Chahar who failed to shine even on a slow Chepauk pitch.
Team Preview – Kolkata Knight Riders
The Eoin Morgan-led side is coming from a terrific win in their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. They registered a victory by 10 runs at the same ground after brilliant knocks from Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi and Dinesh Karthik. Their bowlers too did a phenomenal job to restrict the opposition despite them having the much-needed firepower in their team.
Having got off to a perfect start, the Kolkata-based franchise is expected to take the field with the same playing XI. But the concern around the form of Andre Russell remains. Having failed in IPL 2020, Russell yet again was unable to perform with the bat. But the emergence of Russell as their go-to bowler in the death overs in the first game will give them some relief.
