Real Madrid Midfielder Kroos is not happy with FIFA and UEFA for creating more tournaments in a season. FIFA has plans for a extended version of Club World Cup consisting of 24 teams and will played once in 4 years starting from 2021. The teams eligible for this tournament will be Champions League winners and runners up, Europa League winners and Copa Libertadores winners from the past four season leading to the tournament. Moreover, UEFA has created the Nations League for making friendly international matches meaningful for the teams.

These tournaments are made to make more money – Kroos

The player speaking on the Einfach mal Luppen podcast said, “With the invention of all these new things we seem to be just the puppets of FIFA and UEFA. These competitions are created to suck everything out of every single player physically and to suck out as much money as possible. When certain things work well it is a good idea to leave them that way.”

Meanwhile, Kroos also took a shot at Aubameyang and said, “I find it very silly. Even worse is if there are any objects hidden in their socks. Aubameyang once celebrated and took out a mask. That’s where it ends with me. I don’t think that’s a good role model, either. What nonsense.”

UEFA and FIFA have jam packed the schedule for the players but there are also talks of a new European Super League. This league will be exclusively for the Big clubs around Europe as more fans want to see those matches. However, it remains to be seen how this league fits into the regular football calendar and if rest of the teams around Europe would agree to this new League.
