Kurt Angle has made a huge name for himself in both amateur and professional wrestling. He was in the business for over 20 years and had experienced almost everything there was in the industry. Unfortunately, during this stellar career, he also had to be on the receiving end of a highly gross act from Rikishi.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Kurt Angle was asked if he ever got ribbed by someone during his career. The Wrestling Machine narrated an anecdote from a match he had against Rikishi. During the bout, he had to take a Stink Face from the 59-year-old. However, the Samoan went to the bathroom right before the match and had not “wiped his b*tt.”
Angle revealed that it stunk terribly, and Rikishi was seen laughing out loud when he went backstage. The American Hero said that he still appreciated the prank and wasn’t bad. They talked about how cruel the locker room can be sometimes.
The Stink Face continues to be one of the most iconic moves in professional wrestling. Even recently, it has been used by various superstars like Rhea Ripley at various live events. Rikishi’s daughter-in-law, Naomi, even used the move during the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.
Kurt Angle talks about inducting John Cena into the Hall of Fame
Kurt Angle and John Cena share a very long history in WWE. Many fans want the Hall of Famer to have a match against the Hollywood superstar during the farewell tour. However, the 56-year-old has already ruled out this possibility. He has stated that he is no longer physically capable of doing so.
During the same interview on Insight, Angle commented on the fact that while he is unable to wrestle Cena, he is still the betting favorite for inducing his former opponent into the Hall of Fame. The former King of the Ring said that there were other great choices for this task. These included his arch nemesis Randy Orton or even Stephanie McMahon, who discovered his rapping talent and gave him the spotlight.
Regardless, Angle said that it would be an honor for him to induct what he considered the greatest WWE superstar of all time. Yes, Ric Flair did win 16 World Championships throughout his career, as well. However, doing so in the same promotion was a completely different feat. Furthermore, he argued that John Cena deserved another title before he hung up his boots for good.
