Coming into the 2024 NASCAR Cup season, two-time champion Kyle Busch had a lot hopes and was determined to bounce back after the massive drop in performance in the second half of the 2023 season. He failed to achieve those dreams, as the No:8 RCR crew filed to give him a car worthy of race win.

This marked the end of his 19 streak of winning at least a race in the top-tier and his season ended with 20th finish in the points table. Kyle Busch was able to secure just 10 top 10 finished from 36 races season, a massive let down considering he had three wins last year. Him becoming more error prone when he had fast cars also didn’t help the cause.

Grateful for all of our partners, helping us do what we love. [Thanks] Rowdy Nation for sticking with me. Y’all [are] the best.

We had a pretty decent start to the race today in our Chevrolet at Phoenix Raceway. We picked up about 12 positions in the first stage from where we started and I thought we had one of the better cars. Unfortunately, the second run wasn’t good for us and we lost a ton of track position. From there, we were just trying get back into contention… speed later in the race but ran out of laps to make anything happen.

The Chevy veteran seems to be confident that they can move on from the disappointment and find the right fix to make their cars go faster in the 2025 season. The new hirings from SHR and other teams will help them out achieving these targets nest-season and it will be interesting to see how much it will change RCR.
