The NASCAR community is desperately waiting for the Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium that has been postponed multiple times over snowstorm. Richard Childress Racing veteran Kyle Busch is one of the many excited to get back on the track, but he has one warning for the community over how the race might playout.
Bowman Gray is known for its chaotic racing, and the 2025 edition of the NASCAR Clash was perfect example of it, with drivers using all the aggressive moves they knew to get ahead of rivals. The Next-Gen car’s aero issues are the main reason behind the racers becoming more aggressive and it not going to change any time soon according to Kyle Busch.
Yeah, I think we saw plenty of it last year. The heat races, the last chance qualifier race. There were guys crawling over guys and spinning each other out and all that stuff, so it got pretty hectic and chaotic, and even in the feature race there was some of that going on towards the back of the field. So hopefully we’re far enough up front where we don’t have to deal with much of that and we can have a nice smooth race.

The two times Cup Series champion pointed out how the 2025 edition of the race was really chaotic and how the drivers got mad at each for no real reasons. He pointed out that retaliation some certain drivers were for petty reason and he is hoping that some of those driver grew up in off season, otherwise the new season will start with another chaos.
I felt like last year’s Clash was a little chaotic. here were definitely some moments there where some guys were running over each other, and guys got mad at each other for no reason. You are going to hit each other. It’s inevitable, it’s going to happen. But the nature of just getting a little bump-bump and then getting mad about it and trying to retaliate, that’s just the nature of the sport, I guess we are in today…Hopefully, the drivers have grown up over the off-season. I doubt it, but we will see what happens

Kyle Busch explains why 2025 Bowman Gray race was a success
Despite the over aggressive style of racing, the inaugural clash at Bowman Gray stadium was really successful event. Two major factors behind were how much the fans show up and Kyle Larson, one of the most popular drivers in the sport, securing the race win.

Bowman Gray was really great last year. I feel like the fans really supported that race, really came out well. NASCAR’s most popular driver won the race, so that was good for everyone too. But we want to be a little bit more out front and be battling for the win. So hopefully we can be a force to be reckoned with and put our name in the hat to win this year.

Kyle Busch and the No:8 team wasn’t really a factor in the final results of the race last season, and coming into the 2026 season, he is hoping to make a mark. This year is expected to be a season redemption for the veteran and having a solid start at the unofficial season opener will be pretty special.
