Richard Childress Racing veteran Kyle Bsuch is in last years of his full-time racing career and is cherishing every moment of it, despite him being in one of toughest phases of his career. Nowadays, winning races aren’t the only goal of the veteran, as he is also fully invested in the junior arcing career of his son Brexton Busch.
Ahead of the father and son battle that awaits them in the Winged Outlaw Heat 182 during the Tulsa Shootout, Kyle Busch talked about the career path he has mapped out for his son. He asserted that the ultimate goal is Cup racing, after selective outings in the lower divisions. The veteran is working behind the scenes to make sure he has great sponsors and the right team to support him.
Well, I mean, everything. The goal is to make it to NASCAR. So, eventually, he’ll get to some ARCA races, some Truck races, and onto Xfinity, onto Cup. That’s the plan, anyway. We’ll see how it goes. He’s got a lot of great help and sponsors with him along the way … So, we’re looking forward to making it all the way.
Kyle Busch told FloRacing.
In the same conversation, the RCR veteran also shared his thoughts how his son is developing as a dirt racer. He pointed out that, Brexton is getting better with every lap and asserted that he has been doing a phenomenal job driving the car.
Yeah, no, the on-board action’s been really good. His cars have been fast. He’s been doing a phenomenal job driving them. I mean, just quick laps and hot laps, you know — but it looks really, really good. So, he’s in all Driven stuff, which makes for familiarity going from car to car to car.
Kyle Busch added.
Further talking about the point, the two times Cup champion explained how he is finding ways to get his son the rights cars by driving the sprint cars. He pointed out that the main reason he is driving different sprint car chassis to map the right track ahead for the teenager. Busch wants Brexton to drive best cars when he is ready to finally challenge for the Golden Drillers at Tulsa.
I’ve got a Storm chassis, a Driven chassis, and some Hyper chassis, so I’m all over the place with my stuff. But I’m just trying to fine-tune and see what works best and be ready for when he moves up or gets a little bit older to really challenge for some drillers.
Kyle Busch asserted.
Samantha Busch shares her feeling about seeing the Kyle Busch vs Brexton Busch battle
The one person that is busier than anyone due to the father and son duo’s racing ventures is, Samatha Busch. She is always traveling with the both, supporting them and anniversary gift she got this season was the opportunity to watch the intense battle of the duo on the track. She talked about it in a post shared on X.

Getting ready to go green for Kyle and Brexton’s winged outlaw heat. They start nose to tail, Brexton p5 and Kyle p7. My anniversary present was apparently a ball of nerves

The comments from Mrs. Busch shows how much she is involved in the racing ventures her husband and son, as well as how much she cherishes those moments. It would be interesting to see how Brexton Busch is going to expand the racing legacy of the Busch’s.
