Kylian Mbappe found himself amidst another spiral of confusion as his X account was hacked last night and the hacker loved every moment of it. The French sensation who made his move to Real Madrid this summer from PSG had quite a few wild tweets going out from his account ahead of the recovery.
Despite parting ways with PSG, Mbappe had the highest respect for the French stalwarts. The hacker deliberately posted derogatory tweets from Mbappe’s account, targeting PSG. In a post where a fan asked if he would return to PSG someday, the hacker responded with ‘f*ck no’!
Apart from the mockery of PSG, the hacker also shared a tweet intended for Manchester United while taking a subtle dig at Manchester City. In one of the tweets, Mbappe wrote “Manchester is Red” while hinting at a free transfer move to the Red Devils in 2028.
This is not the first time, however, that the Real Madrid striker’s account was hacked. Back in 2019 and 2020, hackers took control of his account and promoted Bitcoin, with fake promises. Investors were lured into making massive amounts and in the process lost a significant amount of money. Crypto hacks are on the rise which has already resulted in a loss of $266 million.
Hacker chose Kylian Mbappe’s account to promote Crypto
In the latest hack of Kylian Mbappe‘s account, hackers promoted a token called $MBAPPE. Following the hack, the value of the tokens soared to tens of millions within a few minutes before crashing to zero.
As per the reports of journalist Colin Wu, a user invested 2 SOL which was about $286 into the token and then sold them at its peak, securing a profit of around 1398 SOL which was worth $200000. Another user fell prey to the scam and lost $1 million in the hour.
At the time of writing, the account was reclaimed by Kylian Mbappe, making it secure and ensuring the fact that everything was taken care of. Mbappe, started the season on a high, scoring a goal on his Real Madrid debut in the UEFA Super Cup final. However, the La Liga opener saw Mbappe struggling as fans were quick to spot that he will need to walk a mile before he can run in the Spanish Premier League.
