Kyrie Irving, now with the Dallas Mavericks, has been reflecting on his basketball journey and his past partnership with LeBron James. Irving acknowledged that their relationship was complicated at times, but they have both grown and matured since then.

He expressed gratitude for their time together, saying he appreciates LeBron’s recent statement about being angry over their split. Their time together on the Cleveland Cavaliers was marked by significant success, which included three straight NBA Finals appearances and a championship win in 2016. 

Irving credits their partnership for teaching him valuable lessons about leadership and respect. Despite their split, Irving said he still misses playing alongside LeBron James and values the experience they shared.

I appreciate it. That's a lot of gratitude there as well. I'm at a different age, a different place in my life and so was he. We've been able to mature and appreciate how much we've been able to accomplish. I think there were some things that got in the way of our relationship when I was a little bit younger. Now that I'm able to vocalize how I feel as a man and be comfortable in it, I feel like our relationship is different because of that now.
