LA Knight hasn’t wrestled since competing in the Elimination Chamber match that happened almost a month ago. It was spotted by some eagle-eyed fans on this week’s Raw that something was off with Knight’s left elbow.

One of his fan pages on X flagged concerns about ‘The Megastar’ potentially dealing with a physical issue in his elbow just like John Cena did once, as pictured below. The post didn’t go unnoticed by Knight himself, who confirmed that he’s currently recovering from elbow bursitis.

But he affirmed that it wouldn’t keep him off the road to WrestleMania 42. Someone in the comments of the original post about LA noted that Knight had a bandage on, which could most likely mean that some fluid has been drained recently.

It looks like a case of septic bursitis and fluid drainage that Knight has seemingly undergone would affect the usual recovery timeline of 3-6 weeks. Despite not being physically at 100%, the erstwhile Eli Drake hasn’t missed a TV taping in the meantime.

In fact, this past Monday on Raw, he interfered in the tag team match between The Usos and Logan Paul & Austin Theory. The Defiant One’s music hit just when Paul pulled out the brass knuckles behind the back of the referee. Knight tricked ‘The Maverick’ by arriving through the WWE Universe at ringside and sent him into the steel steps. Knight passed the brass knucks to Jey Uso, who used them to knock out Theory.

It did cause a disqualification, allowing the Vision to register a win over the world tag team champions. An incensed Jey Uso would later take out Paul with the brass knucks-assisted punch to vent his frustration. Knight’s role in that match wasn’t that substantial, and it just reaffirmed his scorn for the Vision along with him getting along well with the Usos.

Apart from that, ‘The Unchosen One’ had a little situation that the fans watching at home didn’t get to see, but those in the arena certainly caught it. The clips of Knight falling to the floor while hopping the barricade on this week’s Raw have gone viral on social media.

The fans had a hearty laugh about LA’s hilarious botch, with some saying that his jeans were tight and others pinning the blame on his shoes. It’s still fascinating how swiftly Knight recovered from that slip and went on to play his part on the show.

How could LA Knight secure his WrestleMania 42 role?

The latest elbow bursitis setback has definitely put LA Knight‘s WrestleMania participation in doubt. He was already unsure about what he was supposed to be doing at The Grandest Stage of Them All by revealing in an interview that he’d like to know more before making any statement. Now the physical discomfort in his right elbow might only worsen it for one of the most popular wrestlers across WWE.

Looking at the potential scenarios that could lead to him at least having an on-screen presence at WrestleMania, there’s an outside chance of him being involved with the Roman Reigns and CM Punk feud. Knight had a backstage interaction with The Usos on Raw after helping them out against Logan Paul and Austin Theory. Jimmy Uso appreciated the 43-year-old for having their back against the Vision.

But things got heated between Knight and Jey after the former US Champion told ‘The Yeet Master’ that he was sounding like Reigns. Jey said he was tired of everybody telling him the exact same thing. ‘Big Jim’ then warned LA Knight to watch his mouth while talking about their family.

‘The Megastar’ had previously told the Samoan twin brothers that he wouldn’t be able to stay on the same page with them if they kept getting cozy with ‘The OTC’ like they’ve been in recent weeks. Moreover, Jimmy and Jey were out there in the ring for the main event segment that saw Reigns decimating Punk at the behest of Jey.

‘The Best in the World’ is now outnumbered, with Reigns and his cousins working in tandem. Could Knight bail Punk out of the mess, considering he had already told the Usos that they might have a problem should Jimmy and Jey revert to an alliance with ‘The Tribal Chief’?

This is likely to be answered in the weeks to come because it sure does seem like Punk is in dire need of someone to back him up against Reigns and Usos. This could be LA Knight’s ticket to be significantly involved in a main event capacity at WrestleMania without having the need to wrestle a match if he’s not medically cleared by then.
