LA Knight paid the price for being a loudmouth on this week’s Raw. But his nuances left the wrestling pundits impressed, with Busted Open Radio host Dave LaGreca being one of them. He noted how Knight had gotten to a point where he needed to be shut up. LaGreca was content with Jey Uso taking the onus to do so.

Joining LaGreca on the show was Nic Nemeth, fka Dolph Ziggler. The latter was blown away by the caveats used by Knight in his warning to CM Punk. ‘The Megastar’ didn’t outright rule the vet out of the world title contention and explained why he isn’t the right fit to hold that strap at the moment. The erstwhile Eli Drake broached how Punk’s majorly focused on being a good husband of late.

However, he was a trash champion, quipped Knight, referring to him getting cashed in by Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. ‘The Defiant One’ also reminded the former AEW star that he holds a couple of victories over Rollins, the first of which was a pinfall at Saturday Night’s Main Event. It was where ‘The Visionary’ feigned a knee injury and kept it faking until SummerSlam.

After recovering from Punk’s dig that underscored how Knight’s never been a world champion, the 42-year-old affirmed he’s going to be the next man to pin Rollins once again. Ziggler, as mentioned above, said that Knight proved his point without even turning heel. He gave a completely different rationale behind his dismissal of ‘The Best in the World’ as a viable contender for the top prize on Raw.

‘The Showoff’ is all for these on-screen characters using their real-life elements in storylines instead of disparaging each other with mundane digs. The former TNA World Champion exclaimed that it wasn’t the case about a decade ago when Vince McMahon was in charge of creative.

LA Knight stole CM Punk’s thunder in the main event of Raw

The aforementioned segment featuring LA Knight, CM Punk, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso in the end led to these four men finding themselves in a tag team match on Raw. ‘The Yeet Master’ superkicked ‘The Megastar’ after the latter said that the best shot to carve his own legacy was confining himself to just a tag team wrestler. After that, Punk assumed he wasn’t in the crosshairs of The Usos.

He did appreciate the passion displayed by Jey but asserted that he needed to get to the back of the line if he were to have his world title shot. ‘The Second City Saint’ quipped that while he loved Jey Uso, he didn’t like “Little Roman.” It set him off. Jey had snapped and wanted to get his hands on Punk. However, ‘Big Jim’ was trying his best to act as the peacemaker between the two.

Punk eventually landed a punch on ‘The Yeet Master’, which prompted Jimmy to take the Chicagoan out. Punk and Knight met The Usos in the main event. The match ended rather abruptly when Punk nailed Jey with a Go To Sleep and LA Knight tagged himself in to do the rest.

‘The Megastar’ got the pinfall victory over the former ‘Right Hand Man’ to Roman Reigns. Punk was irate, but Knight had a grin on his face as he exited the ring after doing the honors. One could tell that this will only exacerbate the ongoing issues between Punk and Knight.

The fans really enjoyed their back-and-forth on the mic, with many claiming that ‘The Straight Edge Superstar’ made Knight look like just another wrestler on the roster. LA Knight is still chasing his first world title in WWE. He might have to overcome more obstacles to get there, but if it’s in the cards, the WWE Universe could be in for a ride.
