Logan Paul has been one of the poster boys for this year’s SummerSlam. The 2024 edition of the biggest party of the summer emanates from Cleveland, Ohio, which was also where the latest episode of SmackDown took place. Although The Maverick expected to have a peaceful homecoming, his arch-rival, LA Knight, was not going to allow him to do so.

During the show, Paul came down to the ring to cut a promo in front of his home crowd and was welcomed by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. Furthermore, he wanted to unveil a banner with his photo that would constantly remind the people of Cleveland’s finest. The banner unfurled, but someone had painted Knight’s iconic catchphrase, “YEAH,” over the 29-year-old’s face. This led to the Megastar making his entrance.

LA Knight said that since he had ruined the social media star’s banner, he was going to go and get him a replacement. While backstage, the former TNA star laid eyes on Paul’s PRIME-branded Hummer. Seeing this, The US Champion rushed backstage out of worry for his car. Meanwhile, the 41-year-old opened the car door and said that Paul’s head was so empty that they were going to open a spirit of Halloween in that thing.

Knight talked to the camera and predicted the exact moment that Logan Paul would find him. As his rival ran down to the parking lot, the Defiant One got into the car and drove away. The Maverick ran after him as fast as he could while screaming at the top of his lungs. However, it was to no avail.

This is not the first time that Knight has invaded the champion’s privacy and misused his private property. After returning from a trip, Paul found out his opponent had invaded his home. The Megastar was chilling in his pool while waiting to welcome him.

These two superstars have shared plenty of banter during the build-up to their WrestleMania match. The latest episode of SmackDown marked their final encounter before they finally met in the ring on Saturday. While cutting a promo in front of his home crowd, Paul called his opponent delusional and claimed to be the face of Cleveland.

The Maverick even brought up his ‘underwhelming US Title run.‘ He understood if fans were disappointed with his having only two defenses so far. However, that was still two defenses more than Knight was ever going to have. He claimed to not be able to relate to the general audience because he was so great and made it in life.

Knight eventually came down to the ring after the banner incident and called out the champion for not even properly being from Cleveland. Regardless, he apologized for his mistake, and this segment eventually led to Paul’s Hummer being stolen.
