Lamar Jackson is promptly known among the top quarterbacks in the league, not to mention one of the only three active players with more than one MVP honor. However, there remains something missing which is not just evident to the fans but also to the quarterback himself– a Super Bowl ring.

After earning his second MVP honor in 2023 by leading the Baltimore Ravens to the conference championship game with the AFC title, Jackson realized the urgency for him to win the grand Super Bowl to his name. Despite accomplishing great feats, the biggest remain unchecked on his list which may also become the reason for losing the Hall of Fame honor in the future.

I haven't gotten a Super Bowl yet. That's the only thing that bothers me. I don't care what [naysayers] say because they still talk about Michael Jordan, they still talk about LeBron [James]. They still talk about Steph Curry. Those guys got championships. I don't have one yet.
Lamar Jackson said in an interview with The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec

The reigning NFL MVP expressed an urgency to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy for his team in the 2024 season, starting tomorrow evening on September 5. Though the first game of the season hardly reflects the rest of the season, the Ravens have gotten a chance to defeat their AFC rival, the Kansas City Chiefs, who outperformed them in the championship game last season.

Lamar Jackson’s MVP prospects shine again for the coming season

While the 27-year-old signal-caller is planning to win a few Super Bowl rings to his name, his name is once again being advocated for the MVP honor in 2024. The Ravens’ newly acquired Derrick Henry predicted his thoughts on Jackson’s MVP prospects during his appearance on The Rich Eisen Show.

He’s a top player, a consistent player, an MVP-type player in this league. His throw, his accuracy, his ball placement – I think it’s up there with the best of them. He’s just as dynamic with his arms as he is with his legs.

Henry further appreciated the leadership quality and work ethic of the quarterback saying their workout sessions become enjoyable because of Jackson. The running back’s words well reflected his mutual respect for his signal-caller and while heading to the regular season, the two are anticipated to be a dynamic duo.
