As the Baltimore Ravens go up against the reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs, the stakes are at an all-time high. The rematch of the 2023/24 AFC Championship game will see star QBs Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson facing off against each other.

The former football running back, LeSean McCoy in a talk on “The Facility” answered that Lamar Jackson has nothing to prove on coming Thursday. Jackson has more than proven himself in the regular season, McCoy added. He ascertained that Jackson and the Ravens need to win it in the postseason going through the 15, Mahomes.

McCoy said that even Lamar Jackson would agree with his statement regarding what he needs to do. He would agree with McCoy that he has proven himself in the regular season and needs to better himself when it actually matters.

I think, the only thing we really criticise Lamar Jackson is his playoff success. We need to see it. I think he would say the same thing, he's that good and he has a competitor. So, I'm going with Action Jackson. There's nothing he has to show me on Thursday night. I need all playoff success.

Jackson, a two-time Most Valuable Player of the NFL regular season is one of the favourite QBs with Super Bowl potential. In 2019, He also became the second QB to win MVP award unanimously, a feat he repeated last year after Tom Brady did it in 2010. Jackson has managed a 58-19 winning record in the regular season while also putting up 2-4 in the postseason.

Can Baltimore Ravens and QB Lamar Jackson repeat last year’s 13-4?

The Baltimore Ravens had a very successful season in 2023, winning 13 out of 17 games. They managed to defeat more than 10 teams who eventually finished with winning records in the regular season, an NFL record.

There are two sides to this, agree, that their main players didn’t start in the preseason games. However, the opposing teams also had similar backups playing who completely dominated the Ravens’ offensive line. There’s no doubt that Jackson is key to the Ravens’ success in the league. In terms of defense, the team will surely miss Mike McDonald, the defensive coordinator who worked magic with the best defensive side of last season.

On the other hand, they have some new faces who could trouble the opposing team. The Ravens Derrick Henry. Running back Henry alongside Jackson can form a solid force. They both hold the most rushing yards since 2018 in their respective positions. Last but not least, Jackson. He has been unanimously voted the MVP for a reason.
