Patrick Mahomes is costing lot of good QBs like Lamar Jackson a fair shot at Super Bowl, claims ex-Cowboys star
Marcus Spears said on the ESPN show "Get Up" that Patrick Mahomes is the reason why QBs like Lamar Jackson have never won the Super Bowl.

Hands down, the biggest storyline of the upcoming NFL season is the chances of the Kansas City Chiefs hitting the three-peat. The streamliner of this storyline, of course, Patrick Mahomes.
Ex-Dallas Cowboys star Marcus Spears has his two cents about this situation. He believes that Mahomes single-handedly has denied many QBs like Lamar Jackson an opportunity to win the Super Bowl. He mentioned that there are many QBs who could have gone home with a ring easily, but they haven’t. Last week, Shannon Sharpe and Stephen A Smith discussed the importance of Lamar Jackson to defeat Mahomes.
Spears added that Mahomes is a winning player, and his presence dilutes the conversation revolving around QBs who are Super Bowl contenders. He further stated that Mahomes has an ability to make the impossible possible in both the regular and the post season.
Patrick Mahomes makes every conversation diluted because he's there, because he's there for the Kansas City Chiefs, what he has the ability to do not only in a regular season but in the playoffs.Marcus Spears said in the Get Up Podcast

Spears also added that he believes the Baltimore Ravens were the ultimate best team last year. With Jackson winning MVP in a 13-4 regular season and an NFC Championship run, the Ravens sure looked like they were going to win it all. They had the squad and depth, but in the end, all that mattered was the Kansas City Chiefs playing like an ultimate weapon.

Patrick Mahomes recorded the most passing yards (33,559), passing touchdowns (260), playoff wins by a starting QB (15), and Super Bowl MVPs (three) through a player’s first seven seasons in NFL history. ESPN projects that the 28-year-old would be the top contender this year too with projected stats of 4,033 passing yards, 33 TDs, and 11 INTs (337 yards, 1 TD rushing).
“Going through 15” is the only way to win a ring for other teams
During the same show, Spears mentioned that although Mahomes is a supreme talent, the QB is not unopposable. The Kansas City Chiefs, alongside their weapon Mahomes, are a team who could ideally be defeated and prevented from making a three-peat despite their realistic plans. But there are conditions to it.
But the bottom line is man, you have to go through 15. We found out last year if it Kansas City or if it's on the on the road, you gotta go through him to win the Super BowlMarcus Spears added
The former Dallas Cowboys player believes that in order to win the Super Bowl, they will have to go through Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes, who wears jersey number 15, is going to be a threat both in Kansas City and on the road. He suggested that teams and QBs will have to step up, face him, and go through the man to win the coveted ring.
Mahomes and company will start their title defense and three-peat campaign stronger this year. They will open the regular season by playing the Baltimore Ravens at home to kick off the new season.
