Shannon Sharpe & Skip Bayless Reuniting For Commercial Leaves Fans Wanting More – “The Streets Missed These Old Geezers”
Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless have seemingly overcome their differences and are starting to collaborate again.

There was a time when ESPN had some proper competition, at least in the sports debate space, when one of its former voices, Skip Bayless, joined FS1 to create Undisputed and brought in Shannon Sharpe as his permanent opposing number.
The latter’s knowledge and fandom, along with his humor, were seen as the perfect antidote to the former’s usually long-drawn and narrative-filled opinions. No wonder that show went on to draw millions of viewers.
That show’s ratings boomed to such a level that First Take, the show Bayless initially made popular, looked pale in comparison, even though the pairing of Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman was equally explosive.
But then, everything changed when Sharpe felt that his co-host undermined him on live television. The NFL Hall of Famer left the show, and ratings immediately cratered even though Bayless brought on a slew of former opinionated and controversial players to fill the space.
Eventually, the 74-year-old had to leave, and FS1 simply shut down the entire show and even sold off its social media presence to Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy.
Since then, Sharpe joined First Take, brought it back to life, and was fired after his scandal came to light. Meanwhile, Bayless started a football show with former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, which later changed hands, and he now does it with Aqib Talib.

On set for our new @Polymarket commercial airing soon. More news coming soon 🤫 pic.twitter.com/1YlpgHN75E
In the meantime, the Dallas Cowboys fan has rejoined First Take as a guest star. While fans want Sharpe to do the same, ESPN is likely waiting for fans to forget his scandal first. Then, the three-time Super Bowl winner dropped pictures of himself and Bayless in a Polymarket commercial.
Fans in awe after Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless reunite
Over the years, both Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless have never given a clear clarification of why they split. At the same time, they have defended each other, especially when asked if one is happy the other is not succeeding.
Now that they have reunited, even if it is for a commercial, fans have been left wanting more. They reacted to this post, asking whether the reunion stops at this commercial, as they want the duo to return. Check out examples of those excited reactions below.

Love to see it!! If there is any show that could compete directly with First Take it was Skip and Shannon Undisputed 🔥 🔥 🔥
— Simon Q. (@SimonQ85) September 25, 2026
Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless’ chemistry on Undisputed was such that it took a while for the latter to adjust to not calling his name while sitting opposite Stephen A. Smith on First Take. That is why fans want the duo to bring back their iconic show.
Skip Bayless teases possible show with Shannon Sharpe
In Shannon Sharpe’s post on X, the last line suggested that there was more news coming from him and Skip Bayless. In response to this, the latter wrote this:

Miss you too, man! Great seeing you—can’t wait for everyone to see what’s coming.
Bayless replied
This may signal a future debate show, or a collaboration between their two production houses to create another show. Either way, it will not be on a major television network; instead, it will be on social media.

Sharpe’s network has drawn millions of viewers and won several awards. Bayless might not have had the same success, but if Arena: Gridiron and the test First Take episode were any indication, he still has the power to draw viewers. Maybe they are brewing something together.
