(Video) Lamar Jackson channelizes his inner Steph Curry for a TD pass against the Bengals

Lamar Jackson's hooping skills drew parallels with NBA star Steph Curry when he found Rashod Bateman for a Ravens touchdown against the Bengals on Thursday night.

Do not let Lamar Jackson get comfortable during the game, or he will bring out his inner Stephen Curry and punish whichever team the Ravens are facing. The Bengals caught the full package when the two sides met at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Thursday, November 7.

After Joe Burrow gave the Bengals a 21-7 lead with just over an hour of football, hardly anyone predicted that the Ravens would be able to close the deficit. However, it’s foolish to count the 2025 NFL MVP favorite out with one-and-a-half quarters of football left.

The Bengals switched off and allowed the Ravens to come back in the tie. Jackson set up three consecutive touchdowns in three dives (one courtesy of a fumble from Bengals running back Chase Brown). The all-pro shot caller scored one for himself and then Derrick Henry before throwing an 18-yard touchdown pass to tight end Mark Andrews.

Burrow pulled one back with a 70-yard free run for wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase to level the scores, and it looked like NFL fans would witness back-to-back OTs in a few days gap.

However, Lamar Jackson had one final trick up his sleeve. In the following drive after Burrow’s score, he hit Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, ending up inside the Bengals five-yard line. The two-time NFL MVP then sidestepped the Bengals, and in Stephen Curry-esque fashion, he threw a hooped pass for Bateman inside the endzone to restore the Ravens lead.

The Bengals pushed for a last-ditch effort after the two-minute warning. Burrow connected with Chase Brown for a five-yard touchdown, bringing the gap down to just one point. However, they failed to convert the two-point try, and the Ravens won 35-34.

After the game, Prime Video’s Kaylee Hartung caught up with Bateman, who finished the game with six catches for 56 yards and one touchdown. Hartung asked the fourth-year receiver about what was going through their minds at halftime as they only had seven points on the board (the Ravens’ fewest at halftime all season).

Lamar Jackson. He came in and got us… Alright. You cleared a lot of details, and we played a lot better; we had to finish the drives, and we had to come out, and we did that.

Rashod Bateman replied

Hartung revealed Jackson telling her that he was a man on a mission before the game. She asked Bateman to elaborate on it.

He is a leader. I mean, he’s been doing it week and week out. Every single game—not too quarterback. Lamar is Lamar. And I think that’s all I can say about Lamar.

Rashod Bateman added

Lamar Jackson finished the night with 25/33 completed passes for 290 yards (75.5% completion rate) for 4 touchdowns and zero interceptions. The Ravens are now 7-3 and sit second in the AFC North behind their next week’s opponents, the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2).
