Lawrence Stroll, one of the more wealthy owners that we have in the sport, has come out and accepted the fact that Formula one is for the wealthy boys or a large corporation and in order to survive and compete in the sport, one needs money.

Lawrence Stroll’s journey began in the year 2018 when he bought the former Force India in the middle of the season and one of the immediate beneficiaries of this purchase was his son Lance Stroll, who became one of the regular drivers of this team.

Lance has had the support of his father Lawrence from back in his junior series days, who is suspected to have spent a whopping amount of $80 million for his son to be able to reach where he has been able to.

Stroll reiterates this fact in an interview where he said, “Racing is definitely expensive, from go-karting on up, there’s no doubt about it. You have to be a very wealthy individual or a very large corporation to be able to afford to be in Formula 1.”

Aston Martin in an investment stage and this is when most of the money is required for a team to be able to fight with the big boys or one can be only there to make the numbers. The owner needs to give all the facilities to the support staff and the driver to succeed.

Stroll confirmed that by saying, “We all know very well that success in Formula 1 or any other business for that matter doesn’t come overnight. That takes years to put the right people, the right tools, the right processes in place,” as reported by planetF1.

Of course, it is one sport which requires tons of money which is important for the sport to grow and get that global recognition but at the same time a driver shouldn’t be able to get a chance to drive because of the backing of money.
