LeBron James and Dwyane Wade brought ‘different level of basketball’ to Miami Heat, reveals former teammate
Former Heat player, Greg Oden, made an interesting statement regarding former teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on the OGs Show Podcast.
Dwyane Wade and LeBron James
The Miami Heat were among the greatest teams in the NBA in the early 2010s. This was due to the immense star power they had at their disposal. The Heat had the likes of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosch during that time. They were destined for glory, and the big names never disappointed. Recently, another former Heat player discussed how it was back playing alongside these stars.
Former NBA big man Greg Oden spoke on ‘The OGs’ show podcast about his time with the Miami Heat. He discussed how it was to play with James and Wade. According to Oden, the moment was unlike anything he had before encountered, and it opened his eyes to an entirely new level of gameplay. In addition, the Heat took the NBA by storm when the formation of the Big 3 happened.
Being around that team, I seen a different level of basketball. I seen the things that LeBron James and [Dwyane Wade] would do that a f**king 13-year-old wouldn’t even do right now.Greg Oden said
Oden’s praise for the two stars is completely justifiable, especially with the impact they had playing together for the Heat.
On the other side, Oden’s story is one of the most interesting “what if” scenarios in NBA history. He was drafted first overall in 2007 and had the potential to become an NBA superstar. Unfortunately, due to multiple knee injuries, Oden’s career never took off, and he only managed to complete three full seasons in his whole career.
LeBron James showed ‘love’ to his former teammate Dwyane Wade back in 2023
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were one of the most exciting duos during their time at the Miami Heat. They won many back-to-back titles together. However, James left the Heat for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In addition, Wade’s illustrious career came to an end due to injuries.
Later on, Wade made the list for the 2023 Hall Of Fame class. On account of this, his former teammate, James, took to Instagram to show Wade love hours before his HOF induction.
Today is the official day my brother @dwyanewade goes into the HOF!!!!! WOW WOW WOW bro!! Man I can't say enough how proud and happy I am of/for you. The kid from Robbins, IL now in the HALL!!! You a bad man Trey Ball!LeBron James wrote on Instagram
In addition, Wade becomes one of the twelve candidates for the 2023 Basketball Hall of Fame class. The list also featured former NBA players Dirk Nowitzki and Tony Parker, as well as current San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. Wade became the second Miami Heat member from the Big Three era to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
