LeBron James’ former teammate Iman Shumpert forced to pay up for damaging $400,000 Rolls Royce
Former Cleveland Cavaliers star Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor are going through a settlement process to determine who gets what.

Court ordered Iman Shumpert to pay ex-wife Teyana Taylor $400K for damaged Rolls Royce
LeBron James has always had an eye for long athletic defenders who can also score from the three as part of his title-winning teams. One of them was Iman Shumpert, who played a major role on the historic 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers title winning run.
That championship was bang in the middle of his NBA career as he went on to play for another six seasons. Throughout his career, his defense ensured he received contract after contract as solid three and Ds are tough to find.
But in the latter stages of that career, injuries and a dip in production stopped any interest from coming in. By the time his career ended in 2021, he had earned over $48 million. Despite that, he is currently worth just $10 million after having to pay out a lot in his divorce settlement.
His estranged wife Teyana Taylor took to social media to clarify some of the accusations floating around on social media. As part of their divorce settlement, it initially seemed as if the actress received the major chunk of their assets.
On the video she clarified that all the cars she has received in the settlement were purchased with her own hard-earned money. She even relayed that Iman Shumpert had to pay up the $400,000 he owed her for crashing her then brand-new Rolls Royce.

Taylor confirmed that the Rolls Royce was purchased with her money, because at that time, Iman Shumpert was not earning anything. The actress also claimed that the NBA champion did not even replace the car for her, which is why now she has received it as part of the settlement.
Iman Shumpert apparently loses a lot in divorce settlement
Teyana Taylor jumped on to social media to clarify about her divorce settlement with Iman Shumpert. As per the leaked reports, the 34-year-old actress was to receive four homes, a seven-figure payment, and a few luxury vehicles along with a tour bus.
The documents also show that the former NBA star was also ordered to pay $8000 a month as child support. Along with that, he also has to foot the private tuition bills of his two daughters. Taylor confirmed that she was receiving a seven-figure payment which includes that $400,000 for her Rolls Royce.
However, she clarified that the court decided who gets what. What the social media leaks did not reveal was that Iman Shumpert received three properties. One of which is a condo in Miami which Taylor claims she gifted the former NBA star.
She clarified that as per the actual divorce settlement, both parties will receive similar assets. She has been awarded those luxury cars and tour bus as she had paid for them herself. But what surprised her was how the documents leaked online.
Teyana Taylor files motion in court
According to TMZ, Iman Shumpert had leaked his divorce settlement documents online. The court had sealed the documents. Despite that, the documents appeared online, and fans slammed Teyana Taylor for trying to get everything out of the basketball star.
The actress has filed a petition for citation of contempt against her ex-husband. She believes the timing of the leak coincides with Shumpert’s recently released rap single. She has argued that the former Cleveland Cavaliers star purposely leaked the documents to boost his music career.
At the same time, she feels he also wanted the public to side with him. Now after clarifying her position, the situation has turned for the former Cavaliers star. Her clarifications could lead to an arrest if the judge finds he was in contempt of court.
