Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is a known admirer of football. He often attends Super Bowls and tries not to miss any games whenever his hometown Ohio State plays. When the Buckeyes took on No. 1 seeded Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl earlier today, the basketball great was in for a treat.

The Buckeyes are a college football powerhouse. But they were to face the best team in the country who were well rested due to a first-round bye. In addition to that, Ohio State had lost to Oregon earlier in the season. That meant the pressure was on head coach Ryan Day to ensure his players started well.

Ja Morant chimes in on Ohio State win over Oregon

Three Bowl games were scheduled for New Year’s Day giving football fans enough entertainment to start the year. But due to unfortunate circumstances, the Sugar Bowl was postponed after a terrorist attack in the city of New Orleans.

That left fans to watch this Rose Bowl and the Peach Bowl game between Texas and Arizona State. Even though the Peach Bowl went into double overtime, it wasn’t as big a spectacle as what Jeremiah Smith and his teammates put up. After that stellar half, Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant tweeted this on his X account.

This game should’ve been first.

The two-time NBA All-Star hinted that the NCAA should have arranged the games so that fans had an equal level of entertainment all throughout the day. Instead, they had to wait to watch the Buckeyes take on the Ducks much later in the day.
