LeBron James leads the charge for LA Lakers dismantling New Orleans Pelicans

Los Angeles Lakers’ marquee player LeBron James leads the charge for the side scoring 21 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds. With Anthony Davis playing against his former team, New Orleans Pelicans, he scored 17 against them. Both LeBron and Davis led the LA Lakers to their fifth-consecutive victory. Caldwell Pope and Montrezl Harrell both scored 16 points for the LA Lakers. The former hit four 3-pointers.
Talking about the Pelicans, Zion Williamson led the charge for them scoring a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Brandon Ingram was also impressive playing against his former team LA Lakers, as he scored 20 points. Out of Ingram’s 20, he scored 17 in the first half of the game itself. Lonzo Ball missed his Lakers’ homecoming due to knee tendinitis.
LeBron James led LA Lakers against Pelicans
Anthony Davis averaged 36 points and 12 rebounds in his three reunions with the Pelicans last season, but he took a complementary role this time in another impressive team win led by James and featuring seven Lakers scoring at least nine points. Whereas Dennis Schröder had 12 points for the Lakers, and Kyle Kuzma added 11 points and 13 rebounds.
LA Lakers broke away with a 15-0 run late in the third while forcing eight straight misses and three turnovers by New Orleans.
The Lakers have been in decent form at home as they now won 4 out of their 7 games. Talking about the Pelicans, they have lost 4 out their 7 loss-games on the road. Alex Caruso had another phenomenal two-way game, hitting three straight 3-pointers and posting a plus-29 in his first 18 minutes of play.
The Lakers have got their much-needed boost to play the Golden State Warriors next in what is expected to be a blockbuster with Curry and LeBron going head-to-head. For the Pelicans, they play Sacramento Kings.
