Lewis Hamilton was one of the many drivers who had a very underwhelming performance at the Las Vegas GP. The Briton’s weekend began on a disappointing note after he qualified for the main race in dead last.

Further, Hamilton couldn’t maximize results on race day and ultimately finished in P10, which was converted to P8 following McLaren’s double DSQ. Still, the 40-year-old labels his points finish as one of the more meaningless finishes in his racing career.

The P20 Qualifying for Lewis Hamilton was notably his career worst qualifying after lodging a lap time on track in the session. The Briton had already labeled his debut year with Ferrari a nightmare as his performance only seemed to turn out for the worse. Hamilton already had very less hopes to succeed in Las Vegas, and the P20 start was probably the nail in the coffin.

However, come race day, Lewis Hamilton was able to finish in P10 and gain nine positions on track after he started in P19 because of Yuki Tsunoda‘s pitlane start. Despite a seemingly positive pace on race day, Hamilton delivered a brutal take on his recovery drive in Sin City. The seven-time champion wasn’t satisfied with his race finish and asserted that it did not mean anything at the end.

Lewis Hamilton shockingly claimed that he had zero satisfaction following his on-track progression at the Las Vegas GP. He further added that gaining nine positions on track was the most meaningless position that he gained on track. Despite a points finish, the 40-year-old claimed that the entire weekend was very bad for him and he was nowhere satisfied with his P10 finish at the end.

Zero. Zero. The most meaningless nine places, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s still a bad weekend.

Lewis Hamilton said, as reported by RacingNews365.

Lewis Hamilton anticipates even more ‘bad weekends’ in 2025

Since the beginning of the 2025 season, Lewis Hamilton’s performances have only turned out for the worse. He has failed to achieve even a podium finish in the main race, let alone a race win. As such, the upcoming two races aren’t going to be any different for the 40-year-old as he anticipates a difficult time.

Lewis Hamilton candidly spoke that he had already suffered from over 22 bad race weekends this year, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the next two weekends are poor as well. He expects that the coming races will be the same as the Las Vegas GP, and he does not expect any miracles to happen. The Briton further claimed that he wasn’t satisfied with his results as he suffered from yet another disastrous weekend.

I’m not particularly satisfied. It was pretty bad. It was a disastrous weekend. We’ve had 22 races that have not gone well so you have to expect that the next 2 will be the same.

Lewis Hamilton noted.

The 2025 season will certainly go down in history as one of the worst, if not the worst, race weekends for Lewis Hamilton. He has suffered from disappointments time and again, and it does not seem to improve with time.

Though Hamilton’s priority has shifted to the upcoming season, and emerge as a winning force by then. Still, he isn’t too confident of his chances in the coming season and doesn’t expect a great start to the 2026 season.
