“This is a defining issue in the elections”: Lia Thomas’ issue could turn Colorado red as former Olympian Eli Bremer runs for Senate

Recently, transgender swimmer Lia Thomas has made quite the headlines, engaging in controversy as she took a gold medal at the NCAA national championships. Several individuals and athletes felt that she did not deserve to win the medal or even compete in any races, considering that she had an unfair advantage.
Several people have taken different stances on the issue. Some believe that Thomas should not be allowed to compete in the women’s category at all, while others believe that she is correct to compete. Some even believe that a different category must be made for transgender athletes to level the playing field.
Colorado state has been trending towards the Democratic side of things since 2006. However, this year could see a shift to the Republic side according to one former Olympian. Eli Bremer, who also actively took part in reform of the US Olympic Committee after the allegations against Larry Nassar came forward, said the the transgender issue can flip the “war on women” rhetoric that Democrats have.
“This is a lethal issue”: Eli Bremer believes and supports Lia Thomas issue
Bremer has also faulted Senator Michael Bennet for not getting involved in the effort of passing a bill to support these reforms. “This is a lethal issue for Michael Bennett because historically Democrats have said that Republicans are the ones who don’t stand up for women, but the tables are completely turned now,” Bremer told Fox News Digital. “I am a Republican who helped lead the efforts to end sexual abuse in the Olympics, and now I’m leading on this issue.”
Michael Bennet refused to stand with women, felt Bremer. He believed that this could be a defining moment of the elections as well. Bremer said that the issue of transgender identity was one coming in like a “tsunami”, saying that schools across Colorado are encouraging confused students to embrace a transgender identity.
Bremer believes that transgender women should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports, because of the advantage they hold. “I think most Democrats know this is wrong. The Left is looking more and more absurd when they come out and say Lia Thomas has no advantage. You can’t deny that a biological male has an advantage, especially post-pubescent.”
