The discussion around Jannik Sinner doesn’t seem to end soon as he has been accused by many of getting special treatment from the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). He failed two doping tests in March this year but was acquitted of the charges after an independent tribunal conducted a thorough investigation.
As several current players have been voicing their opinions on social media about the entire controversy, British tennis player Liam Broady reacted to a clip of Sinner’s interview with ESPN. Broady made a sarcastic remark, as he thinks Sinner has been treated differently than several players who contaminated themselves unintentionally with a banned substance just like Sinner.
Not treated differently from other players but gets curated, presidential sit down interviews with ESPN to maintain image. Where’s this energy for everybody else? Never seen anything like this.Liam Broady wrote on X

Sinner contaminated himself through his ex-physiotherapist, Giacomo Naldi, who had used a spray that contained the banned steroid clostebol. He was provisionally suspended after being tested positive, but it did not last long as he continued to feature in tournaments.
Liam Broady says he doesn’t hate Jannik Sinner
Since the doping controversy, Liam Broady, who is very active on social media, has been making remarks on ITIA‘s treatment of other players who unknowingly contaminated themselves. In his latest tweet, however, Broady wrote that he did not blame Jannik Sinner, praising the Italian for his game and personality.
Crazy thing is some on here think I hate Sinner. I think he’s absolutely brilliant. Fantastic tennis player and has always been very humble. Been a huge fan of his since his challenger days which is a lot longer than a lot of the offended people in my mentions have supportedLiam Broady wrote on X

Broady, who recently played at the US Open, got knocked out of the Qualifiers in straight sets by Otto Virtanen. He is set to play at the Rafa Nadal Open on August 27.
Sinner, on the other hand, will kick-start his US Open campaign on August 27 against USA’s Mackenzie McDonald. The first-round match will be their fourth encounter on the ATP Tour, and they will be meeting for the second time in a Grand Slam event. Sinner, the first seed, has won his first Grand Slam title at the 2024 Australian Open and so far has lifted four more titles on the ATP Tour.
