WWE Raw Superstar challenges Bayley for a match at Wrestlemania 37

We are just days away from Wrestlemania 37. WWE has planned a solid Wrestlemania week for the fans, and the card for the two-night event looks packed too. But one of the most surprising names that has been missing from the Wrestlemania card is of a former Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Bayley has been one of the top performer’s for WWE in the pandemic era. Despite that, she has no match planned for Wrestlemania 37. But, a WWE Raw Superstar recently stepped up to offer Bayley a match for Wrestlemania 37.

Last year, at Wrestlemania 36, Bayley defended her Smackdown Women’s Championship in a fatal five-way elimination match against Sasha Banks, Naomi, Tamina and Lacey Evans. Eventually, she lost the title to her former tag team partner Sasha Banks at WWE Hell in a Cell.

Interestingly, out of WWE’s Four Horsewomen, Sasha Banks is the only one who will be in action at Wrestlemania 37. Becky Lynch is on maternity leave, and Charlotte Flair too has no match scheduled.

Bayley pitched a match for Wrestlemania 37

A feud between Bayley and Belair was being built

Bayley recently appeared for an interview with Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT. She mentioned during the interview that she had pitched a Wrestlemania idea for herself.

“I’ve pitched for stuff for this past WrestleMania just because there has been so many instances this past year where the pitches have gone through and it becomes easier to talk to certain people…I would have loved to have had a non-title match at WrestleMania. Just a grudge type of match. Something that meant, not more than a title, but was a little deeper than a title. But, there’s always next year.”

WWE had teased a feud between Bayley and Bianca Belair, but those plans changed since Belair won the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble. She will be up against Sasha Banks for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship on Night One of Wrestlemania 37.
