Over the past few weeks, WWE has faced a lot of criticism for not putting the same amount of effort into the build-up of the women’s Royal Rumble as they have in the men’s. It appears that WWE wanted to change this perspective in a single episode of SmackDown. The show witnessed several women superstars talking about the Rumble and even featured Raw superstars like Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.
After the show went off the air, Liv Morgan posted a photo of herself and Raquel Rodriguez from the episode. She claimed that she didn’t even belong to the blue brand, yet she was still the star. The former Women’s World Champion showed up alongside her Latina sidekick and announced her entry into the Royal Rumble.
The segment had begun with Tiffany Stratton cutting a promo, claiming that she did not care about who was going to win the Royal Rumble, as she was going to come out on top regardless. Fellow world champion Rhea Ripley came out and interrupted her. The Australian said that she had respect for what the Buff Barbie did to Nia Jax. After the show, the WWE Women’s Champion also sent a message to the Eradicator on social media.

This interaction was followed by Nia Jax, Bianca Belair, and Naomi, who all came down to the ring to announce their entries into the Royal Rumble. Finally, Morgan and Rodriguez also made a surprise entrance on the blue brand. Ripley dropped the Queen of Extreme with a headbutt, leading to an all-out brawl.
Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, and Candice LeRae team up to beat Naomi, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley
This brawl was sorted out by a six-woman tag match between the women involved, barring Tiffany Stratton. Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, and Candice LeRae found themselves on the same side against Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, and Naomi. Needless to say, these six female superstars put on a chaotic match.
The end of the match featured everyone getting involved with several exciting spots. Morgan got on Ripley’s back, but the Eradicator hit her with a Riptide, sending her to crash into Jax. Bianca Belair seemed to have lifted LeRae for a K.O.D., but the Women’s Speed Champion slipped out as Morgan picked up a crucifix pin on the EST to win her team the match.
Some fans did question the dynamics between Jax and Morgan. After all, these two former Champions went face-to-face in Saudi Arabia for the inaugural Crown Jewel Championship. However, they got on the same page shortly after and teamed up for WarGames and now this match.
