Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Ilja Dragunov faced off in a triple threat match on the latest episode of Raw. This was a first-round match in the #1 contender’s tournament for the Intercontinental Championship. The match was won by The Mad Dragon, who advanced to the next round. However, it appears that the two Latino superstars have some unsettled differences between them.
WWE recently announced on their social media that Mysterio will face off against Lee on the next episode of Raw. However, the way that the company’s X account phrased the announcement felt offensive to Liv Morgan. The Women’s World Champion tweeted at the company and told them to choose their words carefully.
The triple threat match on the last episode of Raw featured outside interference from Carlito. The Judgment Day member came out to help his stablemate and attacked Lee in the process. This led to Damian Priest coming out to make the save, who was then attacked by Mysterio. The former NXT North American Champion immediately regretted his actions and fled the scene, allowing Dragunov to pick the victory.
Mysterio and Lee have had many interactions in WWE, and the two were even supposed to be on opposing teams in a tag team match at WrestleMania XL. However, the luchador was pulled from the match shortly before the event after Carlito attacked him backstage and took him out.
Dominik Mysterio lays out conditions for reconciling with his father, Rey Mysterio
Dominik Mysterio started appearing on WWE TV alongside his father, Rey Mysterio, in 2019. The two would eventually form a tag team and become the first father-son duo in WWE to win tag gold together. However, their alliance eventually ended in 2022 when the former NXT North American Champion betrayed his father at Clash at the Castle in Wales. Even the Hall of Famer claims that this betrayal was the best thing for his son’s career.
The two have had a sour relationship since then, and they have faced each other multiple times. However, the Latino superstar may be willing to bury the hatchet if the following conditions are met. Speaking on Rosenberg Wrestling, Dominik Mysterio revealed that he would forgive his father if he got onto his knees in the middle of the ring to apologize to him.
As he gives it to me, he will get down and bow to me, and I will take the mask and obviously just carry on the legacy as the greatest Mysterio that ever lived.

Furthermore, Rey Mysterio would have to willingly unmask himself and offer the mask to his son as a peace offering. He would also have to declare his son as the greatest wrestler in their lineage. “Dirty” Dom would then go on to carry their legacy with the mask presented to him.
