Shortly after the latest episode of SmackDown went off the air, the live crowd was treated with multiple segments and dark matches. These included Cody Rhodes defeating Carmelo Hayes, after which the former had a wholesome interaction with a fan. Drew McIntyre was also seen taking on Jey Uso while Liv Morgan put her world title on the line.

Liv Morgan defended her Women’s World Championship against Lyra Valkyria in the first dark match after the show went off the air. Due to dark matches being untelevised, they mostly end up with the champions retaining their titles. Thus, as expected, the 30-year-old picked up the pinfall victory over her challenger.

In spite of these two superstars being on the same brand since the 2024 Draft, they have not crossed paths with each other on WWE programming. In fact, this was the first time in their careers they ever faced each other in a WWE ring.

Morgan has also become a staple at such SmackDown dark matches in recent times. She often has a match after the show goes off the air. She can be seen either defending her World title or teaming up with Dominik Mysterio.

Morgan has been involved with The Judgment Day for the better part of a year and has rarely taken on any challengers for her title. If she is successfully able to retain her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley at Bad Blood, Lyra Valkyria could be a potential challenger for the Queen of Extreme.

Rhea Ripley explains why she licked Liv Morgan’s face at Bash in Berlin

The Terror Twins, comprising Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, successfully overcame the duo of Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio at Bash in Berlin despite interference from The Judgment Day. The match featured several hilarious and shocking moments. These included The Eradicator strangling the Latino superstar with her legs and performing her NSFW pin to win the match.

Another hilarious moment seen during the match was Ripley licking Morgan’s face. Speaking on the Wrestling Classic, the 27-year-old explained why she performed this gesture. Obviously, this action was a reference to when the Australian licked Mysterio’s face on an episode of Raw. According to Ripley, this was her showcasing that “Dirty” Dom belonged to her.

The one with Dom, I was like, ‘I’m going to lick your face. Just because you’re mine. It’s what we do. It’s our thing.’ The one with Liv, that was completely spur of the moment. I saw Dom looking at me and I was like, ‘She’s mine. I just owned your new girl. What are you going to do about it?’

However, she decided to do the same thing to Morgan on the spot when she saw Mysterio looking at her. This gesture represented that Rhea Ripley had dominated his new girl. Furthermore, there was nothing that he could do about it.
