Premier League: Liverpool vs Brentford Player Ratings as the hosts clinch comfortable 3-0 victory

Liverpool vs Brentford: Liverpool host Brentford at Anfield on Matchday 22 of the ongoing edition of the Premier League.

The Liverpool high-pressing and pacey style of play were in full effect as they grabbed a lead with a great header from Fabinho and doubled their lead in the second-half courtesy of Oxlade-Chamberlain. Brentford looked listless and couldn’t hope to mount a counter-attack as they conceded a third goal by Minamino due to some lazy passing at the back. The Redmen closed the show in style as they win another home game with three goals to nil.

Andrew Robertson (7.5/10): Robertson was always a willing receiver and looked to pass the ball into dangerous areas which started several counter-attacks.

Virgil van Dijk (7.5/10): An amazing performance as he drove into midfield with the ball at his feet on a few occasions to good effect and was a stalwart defender.

Joël Matip (7/10): A great performance as he played some dangerous long balls from the back and also kept a clean sheet.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (8/10): Trent controlled his flank really well with a great delivery into the box from a corner that led to the opening goal for Liverpool.

Fabinho (8/10): Fabinho was in the right place at the right time as he nodded in a corner by Trent to give Liverpool the lead.

Curtis Jones (7/10): A good progressor of the ball, as he was everywhere during the first half an hour, breaking up play and generally running the midfield show.

Jordan Henderson (7.5/10): Henderson controlled the game in midfield and linked up really well with the attack.

Diogo Jota (6.5/10): An good performance from Jota who was subbed off a little early to give Kaide Gordon a runaround.

Roberto Firmino (7.5/10): Firmino showed incredible composure as he laid off the ball to Minamino to give him an open to score.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (7/10): A goal after a very long time by Ox who played really well and doubled the Redmen’s lead.

Álvaro Fernández (GK) (7/10): The Bees goalkeeper made some really important stops and were instrumental in keeping Liverpool’s goal tally at 3.

Kristoffer Ajer (5.5/10): Kristoffer Ajer had poor performance as he received a yellow card early in the game and didn’t mark Fabinho as he scored the second goal for Liverpool.

Pontus Jansson (6.5/10): Pontus Jansson played well out of the back and cleared a lot of aerial threats.

Ethan Pinnock (6.5/10): Ethan Pinnock partnered well with Jansson and was a constant barrier in defence.
