Since his debut in WWE, Logan Paul has been one of the most talked-about stars in the company. He not only shocked people with his wrestling skills but also earned the respect of his peers with the dedication he showed in the business. However, some members of the WWE Universe have also criticized him for cheating in his matches to win. As such, The Maverick addressed the allegations against him in an interview.

While talking with Cathy Kelley on WWE’s The Bump, Logan Paul was asked about the criticism he received for using brass knuckles. The 29-year-old star stated that he was smart enough to use his surroundings to his advantage. He also called all the other fellow superstars ‘dumb’ and said he was playing four-dimensional chess to outsmart his opponents.

Paul has previously enlisted the help of his friends, with notable assistance coming from popular YouTubers KSI and IShowSpeed, who dressed as Prime bottles. Similarly, when he defeated Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel 2023, he used brass knuckles to knock him out. Paul successfully defended his United States title at Royal Rumble and WrestleMania XL with the help of outside interference.

Now, the 29-year-old star is looking forward to another golden opportunity, this time to win the Undisputed WWE title. Initially, it looked like he would also defend his U.S. title, but he refused to do so during the contract signing. On the May 17 episode of SmackDown, he whipped out a new contract and clarified that he would challenge Cody Rhodes for his title. Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether he becomes a double champion or not.

Logan Paul made things clear for the confused WWE fans about the stipulation of the match

The American Nightmare defeated AJ Styles and retained his Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash in France. When he was looking for his next opponent for the King and Queen of the Ring PLE, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced that Logan Paul would be his next opponent. The WWE Universe felt confused as he announced it would be a “Champion vs. Champion” match, but The Maverick cleared things up.

In the same interview, the 29-year-old said that he was shocked that so many people were confused about the stipulation. He stated that it was always him challenging for the WWE Championship, not the other way around. Both superstars had signed the contract, and the match was made official.

Things haven’t shifted. This was always for Cody’s title, not mine. I’m shocked that people are shocked about that.

Wrestling in Saudi Arabia has always been a great experience for the United States Champion. He first challenged Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel two years ago for the WWE title. Then, a year later, he won the U.S. Championship and is now gearing up for another title match this year.
