After Cody Rhodes finished his story by defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, fans were excited to learn about his challengers. At first, AJ Styles stepped up and fought The American Nightmare at Backlash, but failed to win the title. Logan Paul was revealed to be his next title challenger on SmackDown. The U.S. Champion explained how he got a match against Rhodes at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE.
A few months ago, The Rock returned to WWE and took Cody Rhodes’ place to fight his cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. The WWE Universe strongly opposed the decision and demanded that the 38-year-old star face The Tribal Chief at the Show of Shows. Not only fans, but Logan Paul also joined the “Cody Crybaby” chorus, sending a message on social media expressing their desire for Rhodes to be in the title match.
Now, after he got the title opportunity against him at the King & Queen of the Ring PLE, he took to X and stated that he always gets what he wants. On the latest episode of SmackDown, the 38-year-old star came out and addressed the fans. However, he was soon interrupted by GM Nick Aldis, who announced that Paul would be the next challenger.
I get what I wantLogan Paul on X
It will indeed be a title vs. title match between the two stars at the PLE held in Saudi Arabia. After the match was made official, he went to X and expressed his desire to become the double champion. They will both be present for the contract signing for their match on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.
A look at Logan Paul’s amazing WWE career so far
When Logan Paul made his WWE debut, many fans and wrestlers themselves weren’t on board with the decision. However, he quickly earned everybody’s respect with his dedication and commitment to taking this business seriously. At WrestleMania 39, he wrestled against Seth Rollins but was unable to win the match.
He soon received the title opportunity against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel two years ago. Although he almost secured a victory with his incredible performance, The Tribal Chief emerged victorious. The Maverick won the title just after seven official matches when he defeated Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel last year.
Since then, he went on to defeat stars like Ricochet and The Miz before securing another significant victory against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble last year. However, his most significant career win came at WrestleMania XL when he retained his United States title by defeating Owens and Randy Orton. Some might dislike it, but there is no denying that Logan Paul’s inclusion in WWE has only benefited the company.
