A current international star on Raw, who's been touted as one of WWE's brightest prospects, missed out on a major PLE spot last year.

Ludwig Kaiser reveals fighting for making to Bash in Berlin PLE [via- WWE]
The international wrestlers in the America-based WWE have historically been keen on performing in front of their own countrymen and women. Last year in August, WWE visited Berlin for its first-ever PLE from the capital of Germany. Locals and fans in general clamored for Ludwig Kaiser, a born German, to be featured in a prominent spot on the Bash in Berlin card.
However, it didn’t happen. At the very least, Kaiser got to wrestle LA Knight for the US title a night before the Bash in Berlin PLE. Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the 34-year-old Raw star deemed it special. That night meant the world to Ludwig as his mother was in attendance too. The last time she saw her son compete in Germany was in a garage where barely 30 people were present.
The Imperium member claimed he got goosebumps while performing in front of her mom at a jam-packed Uber Arena. He did have conversations with the upper management to get on the PLE on Saturday, Kaiser added. However, he doesn’t hold a grudge against anybody for it not coming to fruition.
I did fight for it. There were conversations about it, and it wasn’t really clear if it would happen or not…………When I look at that card, I understand why we weren’t on that card that night.

Hailing the star power involved in the matches that went down at the premium live event, Ludwig understood why he didn’t make the cut. The former NXT tag team champion is not crying over the spilt milk and has promised that he’ll be there one day.
Even though he didn’t have a match at Bash in Berlin, WWE put him on the screen to let him introduce his longtime friend Gunther for his world title defense against Randy Orton. That in itself received a huge ovation from the rapturous Berlin crowd. Also, after The Ring General put Orton to sleep, Kaiser and Gunther shared a moment with the local fans.
What are Ludwig Kaiser’s WWE goals for this year?
In April 2024, Ludwig Kaiser got rid of Giovanni Vinci by kicking him out of the Imperium. Since then, he’s been trying to find his footing as a singles star on the main roster. The man who oozes ‘European Elegance’ told Chris Van Vliet what he wants to achieve in 2025.

Looking back, he wrestled a ton of big-time names in WWE over the past year. From taking on John Cena in India to mixing it up with CM Punk at Madison Square Garden, let alone his bangers with Sheamus. That’s a rich haul.

But Kaiser’s eyes are now set on the ultimate prize, and if that could be achieved only by raking up title wins, then so be it. Currently, he’s involved in a feud with Penta and Pete Dunne, who accidentally decked the German grappler on Raw this week.
