Luka Doncic has been one of the most important players for the Dallas Mavericks over the years in the NBA. However, this season Doncic has been on fire for the Mavs alongside NBA veteran, Kyrie Irving. Notably, ex-Boston Celtics legend, Paul Pierce also feels the same about Doncic. On a recent podcast, Pierce claimed alongside his former pal, Kevin Garnett, how Doncic scares the ‘Living Hell’ out of him after watching him live in one of this season’s games.

Not only that, Pierce also claimed that Doncic has a similar aura to that of former NBA legends, Michael Jordan and the late Kobe Bryant. Pierce highlighted how it was seeing Doncic play live for the first time, praising his composure and control of the ball throughout the game. Doncic was named the WCF Finals MVP after his side’s victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5.

On the contrary, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are in the NBA Finals this 2023-24 season. They will be facing the Boston Celtics who swept the Indiana Pacers 4-0 in the ECF Playoff Finals. Doncic and Co will be fully focused on claiming the NBA title this season.

Another ex-NBA player impressed by Luka Donic

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving outclassed the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the WCF Finals, clinching the series 4-1. Notably, Doncic was the star performer of the game alongside his teammate, Kyrie Irving. They both dropped 36 points each on the Timberwolves and qualified for the NBA Finals in style. However, before Game 5, former NBA great, Carmelo Anthony was left impressed with Donic and Irving’s duo.

The former Denver Nuggets player claimed that Doncic and Irving are among the greatest duos in basketball history during a recent episode of his 7PM in Brooklyn podcast.
