As such, the GM believed Thompson could help the team win the NBA title.

The Mavs struggled with shooting efficiency during the Finals. Klay Thompson, who joined via a sign-and-trade from the Golden State Warriors, will fill that void. Thompson has a reputation as a four-time NBA champion and one of the league’s greatest three-point shooters. As such, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving get another experienced veteran to realize championship potential.
