Jovic is barely used by Zidane, even when Benzema was injured the manager chose Mariano over him. Jovic has featured in 32 matches in all competitions for Real Madrid has only managed to net twice; a huge shift in form since his prolific spell in Germany.

After making just four appearances in La Liga so far this season, Jovic’s long-term future continues to be speculated. As a result, both Real Madrid and Luka are eager for the deal with Eintracht Frankfurt to go through.

Although Real are not interested in a permanent sale at this point. This would leave Zidane with only 2 centre forward options for the remainder of the season. Mariano has leapfrogged the Serbian striker as the 2nd choice striker for Madrid recently. The move might help Jovic to find his form and return to Madrid in the summer.
