Not everyone had the time of their lives competing in the Royal Rumble matches. A female competitor had her in-ring attire give up in there.

Now that the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE is in the books, it was a rollercoaster of a ride for the WWE Universe. From heavily disputable winners to a brutal ladder match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, a ton of men and women showed out for good reason. However, on live TV, slips happen. On Sunday, it was no different.
Lyra Valkyria, who entered her first-ever Royal Rumble match this weekend, had her gear mess up. As seen in the following clip, the reigning Women’s IC Champ suffered a wardrobe malfunction while trying to toss Iyo Sky over the top rope. Lyra knew her top was about to come off, so she backpedaled.
But a woman who deserves her props is none other than Liv Morgan. The Judgment Day member shoved Valkyria into the corner once Morgan realized that the Irishwoman was in trouble. It bought Lyra some time to fix her gear. A female referee quickly ran over to The Bird Lady and checked on her.
A situation that could’ve pummeled Valkyria into embarrassment, it didn’t quite catch the public eye. And again, Morgan is to be credited for her courtesy. As to how Lyra fared in the matchup, she would not want to dwell on that experience. She drew the fourth spot, which didn’t help her cause either. The former NXT Women’s Champion spent over 16 minutes before being eliminated by Ivy Nile.
And it’s clear as daylight that WWE is headed towards a singles match between Valkyria and Nile for the Intercontinental title. This past Monday on Raw, Ivy, flanked by American Made, confronted Lyra backstage. Faction leader Chad Gable tried to talk down on Dublin-born wrestler, but she mocked the Olympian’s IC title drought.
Charlotte Flair displayed some flare to outdo her Royal Rumble combatants
A lot of up-and-coming women proved their mettle at the Royal Rumble. However, 29 of them left the ring empty-handed. It was the veteran instincts of Charlotte Flair that got her over the finish line.
Having already won a Royal Rumble match in 2019, The Queen rewrote history books at the Lucas Oil Stadium. She has become the only female in WWE to have multiple Rumble match triumphs under her belt. The 38-year-old, however, faced the wrath of netizens for raining on Roxanne Perez‘s parade.
The Prodigy finished as the runner-up. That being said, Flair is going to WrestleMania 41 to challenge a women’s champion of her choosing. It’s rumored to be Tiffany Stratton. However, WWE could milk it out by having Charlotte turn up on Raw and confront Rhea Ripley first.
