Former WWE stars Mansoor and Mace were released from WWE in September last year. After their release, they worked in independent promotions like Game Changer Wrestling and Soft Ground Wrestling. Now, the duo has made their debut in WWE’s rival company, AEW, and confronted Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood.

On the latest AEW Collision episode, they debuted with the same WWE gimmick. While Mansoor kept his name, Mace changed his name to Madden. They looked to continue their ROH success but faced a tougher challenge in FTR. Mansoor and Harwood started off proceedings for their respective teams.

Although Mansoor got the upper hand in the first few minutes of the match, his premature celebration allowed Dax Harwood to regain control. The crowd seemed invested in the match, cheering for both teams. Even though FTR ended up winning, MxM Collection earned their respect and certainly made a good first impression.

Their WWE run unfortunately didn’t go as expected. Although Mansoor achieved significant victories as a singles superstar in Saudi Arabia, Maximum Male Models did not find any success. The duo looks forward to a significantly better run with the Jacksonville-based company and hopes to finally win some gold.

Fans reacted to Mansoor and Madden’s AEW debut on social media

The wrestling universe took notice of the AEW debut of two former WWE superstars, Mansoor and Madden. Some fans were extremely happy about it and wanted to see them succeed in AEW as well. Others just didn’t show much interest in them.

One fan specifically liked their entrances and welcomed them to AEW. Another fan wasn’t impressed and stated that the Jacksonville-based company should focus on building its talent. Some fans were watching them wrestle for the first time and were highly impressed. Here are some of the top reactions from fans:

While one fan appreciated that AEW kept the same gimmick they had in the Stamford-based company, another disliked them for the exact same reason. Other fans felt AEW made a mistake by keeping the gimmicks, which didn’t work in WWE. Some fans were disappointed and made the harsh choice of not watching the program. Overall, there were mixed reactions from fans to the MxM Collection’s AEW debut.
